How to connect your own API key
Step by step: get an API key from an AI provider, connect it in LineOnMe AI and check that the provider works.
Updated October 30, 2026
LineOnMe AI can work with your own AI provider key: you choose the provider yourself, see the costs in its account and can replace the key at any time. Your own key is optional — without it, AI replies are paid from the AI balance in your account.
Steps
- Create an API key in the account of the provider you’ve chosen — for example, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Kimi, DeepSeek or YandexGPT.
- In LineOnMe AI, open the AI provider settings.
- Choose the provider and click Connect.
- Paste the key and choose a model.
- Save and wait for the Connected status.
How the key is stored
The key is stored encrypted and shown masked in the interface. It never appears in the activity log or analytics.
Replacing the key
If the key has expired or you’ve created a new one, replace it in the provider settings — your employees keep working with the new key.
