Autonomy, approvals and working hours
How to decide what an AI employee does on its own, what it checks with you and when it replies to clients — including at night.
Updated October 9, 2026
You decide how much freedom to give an AI employee. This is set on the Autonomy tab of the employee card.
Levels of autonomy
- Advises only — only people take action.
- Prepares drafts — you send the replies to clients.
- Asks before acting — everything after approval. This is the default level.
- Handles safe actions itself — performs simple actions on its own and checks important ones with you.
- Set up manually — permissions for each action.
Permissions by action
For each action you can choose On its own, With approval or Not allowed — for example, let the employee reply in the chat on its own but send files only after approval. Deletion and bulk changes always require your approval.
Replies to clients
If the employee may reply on its own, the client gets an answer right away. If not, the reply arrives in Conversations as a draft, and a person sends or rejects it with one button.
Working hours
Give the employee a schedule — for example, Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 21:00, or around the clock. The AI replies to clients during the hours you set: to have it reply at night, include night hours in its schedule. Messages outside working hours wait for a person.
Pause
You can pause an employee at any time with the switch in its card or by voice through LineOnMe AI. While paused, it doesn’t reply to clients and does nothing.
