How the knowledge base works
What you can add to the LineOnMe AI knowledge base, how AI employees use the materials and what business memory is.
Updated October 9, 2026
The knowledge base is everything AI employees know about your business: documents, price lists, rules, answers to common questions and short facts about the company.
What you can add
- Files — documents in PDF, DOCX, TXT and MD formats.
- Text — for example, a company description or a greeting script.
- Questions and answers — ready answers to clients’ common questions.
Each material has a type — document, procedure, policy, product description, about the company, questions and answers — and a status: Ready, Processing or Error.
How AI uses knowledge
After upload, a material is split into passages. When replying to a client, the employee finds the most relevant passages and builds its answer on them, and the test conversation shows which material the answer came from. If the text of a material has changed, you can reprocess it, and the AI uses the current version straight away.
Who uses a material
A material can be open to all AI employees or only to selected ones. The material card shows which employees use it.
Check your knowledge
In the material card, ask a question the way a client would and see which passages the AI finds and how well they match.
Business memory
Short facts about your company that AI employees always remember: for example, your address, opening hours or booking rule. The AI can suggest remembering a fact from a conversation — it is saved only after you confirm it.
Archive
Materials are not deleted: you can move an outdated material to the archive, and the AI stops using it.
